The P90s are wax potted though at least so that's something? I could always swap the neck with a P90 size HB and still get that twang in the bridge. I wanted a guitar with a Neck HB I could just crank up and not worry about. My main concern with the P90s will obviously be noise.

But most stoner/doom bands do tend to use HBs - particularly lower output/vintagey ones, and the HBs in the Fusion T seem to be along those lines - I'm not a big fan of "Muddy" sounding pickups, for example I checked out the Squier Tele Deluxe around the same price point as I like them aesthetically and found it sounded kind of flat. I was never super interested in P90s since they seemed just like noisy, overly honky single coils, but this is obviously a good use case for them, copping some Tomi Iommi sounds. Going off pure aesthetics I'd go for the SG, but the longer scale length and features of the HB is appealing, not to mention it being 80 bucks cheaper which I could put into setup, pickups etc.(though I'm happy with what I hear of the ones in the HB currently). The Harley Benton seems like a great value guitar for the money(like most HBs). Furthermore, no security is promised or implied by The Gear Page owners, administrators, or moderators. #HARLEY BENTON TE 80 REVIEW PLUS#
You can order this guitar from Germany for 153 plus import tax.Or buy from me. On par with Classic Vibe and MIM Fenders. Good parts and incredible build quality for the money.

They also cut off part of the scratchplate by the bridge which leaves two screw holes visible. Harley Benton TE-20 Telecaster Style Guitar in Sunburst. Not finished off, but also not a major problem. A previous owned reshaped the end of the headstock as you can see in one of the photos. Has a great Ash body (quite heavy) with a maple C profile neck. So its Tele shaped but doesnt sound like one. I bought it s/h withou pickups and have installed a coil tapped SD Classic Stack in the bridge position and a neck pickup from an American Standard Stratocaster.

Tele-shaped, but with two single coil pickups. This is based on the Hofner Prinz/Prince.
